ATLANTA BRAVES EVEN NLDS VERSUS PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES WITH WIN IN GAME TWO

The Atlanta Braves took Game Two of their National League Division Series by 3-0 over the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday evening at Truist Park to even the best-of-five set at a game each. The game followed an almost three hour rain delay.

The Braves scored all three of their runs with two men out during the bottom of the sixth. Ronald Acuna Jr was hit by a pitch and later scored on an RBI single from Matt Olson. Austin Riley drove Dansby Swanson to home plate to make it 2-0 in favor of the Braves. Olson scored on an RBI single from Travis d’Arnaud.

Kyle Wright secured the win for Atlanta after limiting the Phillies to two hits, walking one, and striking out six over six scoreless innings of work. Kenley Jansen got the save. Atlanta area native Zack Wheeler was charged with the loss for Philadelphia.

The NLDS between the Braves and the Phillies will head up to Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia for Game Three on Friday. First pitch is set for 4:37 pm. Listen on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM; airtime is 3:20 pm.
