The Salvation Army of Rome is now accepting applications for the ’22 Angel Tree program.
Applications are taken IN PERSON ONLY on Tuesdays and Thursdays from
October 4 – November 22, 2022 between the hours of 9:00 am – 12:00 noon or 1:00 – 3:00 pm at The Salvation Army of Rome office, located at 317 East 1st Avenue in Rome.
The Angel Tree program in Rome, Georgia is available to families to supplement Christmas gifts for their children ages birth to 12 years. Families have the opportunity to choose 4 toys for your child from a list or give your suggestions and give your child’s coat and shoe size. The items you choose are not guaranteed gifts for the child. We ask that gifts be below $50 each. We will not include bicycles for children on Angel Tree applications.
The Angel Tree program also is available for Seniors age 65 & up. Seniors applicants will be allowed to choose 3 items from a specific list or give your suggestions.
One food box will also be provided for each family. See requirements below:
· Registration is for Floyd, Polk, & Chattooga residents.
· Registration is available IN PERSON ONLY on the above dates;
there will be no online or phone call applications this year.
· Available for parents or guardians of children birth to 12 years of age.
· Available for Seniors age 65 & up.
· Copies of ALL the following documents must be brought to the Salvation Army office located at 317 East First Avenue in Rome at the time of your application:
§ Birth certificates or Medicaid card for all children in household
§ All that you receive: food stamps, SNAP, TANF, or Medicaid.
§ Proof of income for parent/guardian applicant
§ Proof of residency (1st page of mortgage, lease, or utility bill showing address)
§ Photo ID for applicant
· Failure to supply ALL documents by December 2 will result in being eliminated from the Angel Tree program after adequate attempts are made to contact you at the contact information that you provide.
