ADVANCE IN-PERSON VOTING BEGINS FOR NOVEMBER 8TH GENERAL ELECTION

Advance in-person voting begins today for the November 8th general election. Floyd County voters may cast their early ballots any week day from 8 am to 5 pm through Friday, November 4th at the county’s Elections Office, 18 East 12th Street in Rome, or at the Anthony Recreation Center, 2901 Garden Lakes Boulevard. The Elections Office will additionally be the site of early voting on Saturday, October 22nd and Saturday, October 29th from 9 am to 5 pm and on Sunday, October 23rd from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Local polls will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8th, from 7 am until 7 pm.

Friday, October 28th is the last day to submit an absentee ballot; ballots must arrive by mail, e-mail, or delivered in person by 5 pm, according to the Floyd County Elections Office.

A post on the US Senate and Georgia’s Governor are both up for a vote in this election, in addition to US House District 14. Other state and local races are featured on the ballot.

The Floyd County Board of Elections & Registration will meet this Tuesdayat the county’s Administration building, 12 East 4th Avenue. The caucuswill be held at 5 pm in the Commissioner’s Caucus Room, Suite 204; the meeting will take place at 6 pm in the Community Room, Suite 206. The gathering is open to the public.
