CHIAHA HARVEST FAIR SET FOR THIS WEEKEND AT THE COOSA VALLEY FAIRGROUNDS

The Chiaha Harvest Fair will return to the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds in Rome this Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm both days.

Monica Sheppard, event Co-Director, enthuses that there will be more than 150 booths featuring a wide variety of arts and crafts like watercolor and oil paintings, jewelry, pottery, clothing, and more.

There will also be musical entertainment through the weekend. Tinsley Ellis and Glenn Phillips are among those scheduled to perform this Sunday, attests Sheppard; the pair were wildly popular around this area back in the ’80s. Tim Reynolds will perform both days of the event, adds Sheppard.

Attendees may also enjoy hot apple cider at the Chiaha Harvest Fair, as usual. Food vendors will sell barbecue, funnel cakes, kettle corn, and more.

Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students, $1 for children age 3 to 12, and free to those under age 3. Credit cards will be accepted at the gate for the first time ever this year, states Sheppard. Event proceeds will support the arts and art education in this community.
