Do you play pickleball? Even if you do not know the first thing about the sport, you are invited to learn, play, and raise funds for the Exchange Club Family Resource Center at the 2022 Pickleball Partnership presented by the Downtown Rome Racquets Center and the Rome Tennis Center. This one-day, elimination-style tournament is slated for this Saturday morning at 8 am on the courts located at West 3rd Street in downtown Rome.
Registration is available at www.frcrome.org at a cost of $40 per player, says FRC Executive Director Tina Bartleson, who adds that pickleball, a combo of tennis, badminton, and ping pong, is fun to play and watch.
Event proceeds will go towards the FRC’s mission to prevent child abuse in this community; it’s a mission facilitated by the Parent Aide model, indicates Bartleson.
