As the month of October nears a conclusion, so does the annual observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Erin Hernandez, President/CEO of the Northwest Georgia Regional Cancer Coalition, asserts that the sooner breast cancer is detected, the sooner it can be successfully treated. She also stresses the importance of self breast exams, knowing one’s own body, and reaching out for help when needed. This goes for women, as well as some men.
