ROME-FLOYD PARKS AND RECREATION TO HOST CHILI FEST, ARTS AND CRAFTS FESTIVAL OVER AT RIDGE FERRY PARK THIS WEEKEND

Chili Fest will return to Ridge Ferry Park in Rome this weekend. The second ever chili cook-off competition will take place this Saturday, and an arts and crafts festival will be held on both Saturday and Sunday.

The chili sampling and voting will only occur on Saturday, according to Jim Alred, Recreation Services Manager for Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation, who adds that the family-friendly festivities will also include pony rides, food trucks, and a car show.

The gates will open to the general public for the chili cook off on Saturday at 10 am.

The arts and crafts festival takes place 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and 12 pm to 5 pm on Sunday.
The cost for entry to the festival on each day is $5 per person; that includes a sampling/people’s choice voting bracelet for Saturday’s chili cook off.
