Rome’s Office of Downtown Development invites locals to head downtown each Thursday throughout the month of December for holiday shopping and fun as part of Rome for the Holidays.
Megan Otwell, Marketing and Special Events Manager, says that businesses will stay open a little later for holiday shoppers. Parents may shop, while the kids enjoy holiday festivities to include trolley rides with Santa on December 1st and 15th, a Candy Cane Hunt with Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation on the 8th, and an evening with the Grinch on the 22nd.
Otwell urges holiday shoppers to support their community by shopping with local businesses.
