ANNUAL SMALL TOWN CHRISTMAS IN THE COUNTRY SET FOR THIS WEEKEND IN CAVE SPRING

The 19th annual Small Town Christmas in the Country is set for this weekend at Rolater Park in Cave Spring. Event hours are 9 am until 4 pm on Saturday and 12 pm until 4 pm on Sunday.

Admission is free to the event, which will be held rain or shine, according to co-organizer Susan Childers.

More than 200 vendors will offer a wide variety of arts and crafts, in addition to food and drink. There will be appearances by Santa Claus and the Grinch, blacksmith forging, kids’ activities, and even a photo booth, says co-organizer Amanda Smith.

Small Town Christmas in the Country originated as an invitation-only event at Childers’ home nearly two decades ago. It has grown over the years into a holiday extravaganza at the park that is open to the public, attests Smith.
