FLOYD COUNTY IS A LITTLE CLOSER TO AVERAGE YEARLY RAINFALL FOLLOWING TUESDAY-WEDNESDAY’S SHOWERS, CHILLY TEMPS EXPECTED FOR ROME CHRISTMAS PARADE TONIGHT

The showers and thunderstorms that moved through our area Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning dumped 3.25 inches of rain at Rome’s Russell Regional Airport, according to the National Weather Service.
Keith Mickler, UGA Extension agent for Floyd County, says that amount of rain brought this area a little closer to its average yearly rainfall.

Partly cloudy skies are anticipated this evening for the ’22 Rome Christmas Parade, which was postponed from this past Tuesday evening due to weather concerns. Parade attendees should bundle up, as low temperatures will be in the low 30s.
