Rome is a hot spot for folks moving to Georgia. The city was recently listed at No. 1 among the ‘Top Five Cities to Move to in Georgia’ in moveBuddha’s 2021-2022 Georgia Migration Report.
Craig McDaniel, member of the Rome City Commission and lifelong Roman, is not surprised by this designation. He attests that the city has worked hard to make this an attractive community in which to live.
High priority has been placed on the development of affordable housing in Rome, which has sparked interest for those relocating to Georgia. McDaniel indicates that people move here for quality of life and education. Some want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Atlanta, while having proximity to Georgia’s capitol city.
