ATLANTA BRAVES ACQUIRE CATCHER SEAN MURPHY IN THREE-TEAM DEAL

The Atlanta Braves announced on Monday that they have acquired catcher Sean Murphy from the Oakland Athletics in a three-team deal that included the Milwaukee Brewers. Pitchers Kyle Muller, Freddy Tarnok, and Royber Salinas and catcher Manny Pina were traded by Atlanta to Oakland; catcher William Contreras and pitcher Justin Yeager were traded to Milwaukee. The A’s acquired outfielder Esteury Ruiz from the Brewers, and the Brewers got pitcher Joel Payamps from the A’s.
