CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT BEGINS FRIDAY, LISTEN ON WLAQ

WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM will provide broadcast coverage of the 69th annual Seven Hills Rotary Christmas Tournament, which will begin on Friday.

Boys’ and girls’ high school basketball teams will compete for a coveted Gold Ball trophy in the tourney, a holiday tradition for many local sports fans. The field of competitors for this year will include: Armuchee, Chattooga, Coosa, Darlington, Model, Pepperell, Rome, Unity Christian, and Woodland.

Games will be played on Friday, Saturday, and Monday at Armuchee High School. Berry College’s Cage Center will be the site of the championship and consolation games on Tuesday, December 20th.

WLAQ’s tournament coverage will begin on Friday at 4 pm with the opening round match between the Unity Christian and Coosa High School girls. Fans may tune in via radio, online at www.wlaq1410.com, or by using the TuneIn app on a mobile device.
