IT’S TIME FOR THE CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT!

It’s time for the 69th annual Seven Hills Rotary Christmas Tournament! Local high school girls’ and boys’ basketball teams will again compete for a coveted Gold Ball trophy. Games will be played today, Saturday, and Monday on the campus of Armuchee High School, and the tournament will conclude with the championship and consolation games at the Cage Center at Berry College on Tuesday night.

This year’s competitors include: Armuchee, Chattooga, Coosa, Darlington, Model, Pepperell, Rome, Unity Christian, and Woodland.

Tune in for coverage of the Christmas Tournament on the airwaves of WLAQ 1410 AM or 96.9 FM. Today’s broadcast schedule is as follows:

4 pm – Unity Christian vs. Coosa girls

5:30 pm – Rome vs. Coosa boys

7 pm – Armuchee vs. Woodland girls

8:30 pm – Armuchee vs. Woodland boys

The following games will be broadcast on Saturday:

2 pm – Rome vs. Unity/Coosa girls

3:30 pm – Darlington vs. Armuchee/Woodland boys

5 pm – Girls’ semifinal

6:30 pm – Boys’ semifinal
