Linda Patty, Life and Fire Safety Educator with the Rome-Floyd County Fire Department, prefers that Romans refrain from launching their own fireworks and instead watch a professional display to ring in the New Year.
This Saturday night’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks Extravaganza, sponsored by Atrium Health Floyd and hosted by Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation, will be launched from atop Jackson Hill and will be visible all throughout Rome. More than 800 shells featuring all kinds of fireworks will be launched during the display, provided by Zambelli Fireworks.
