The year 2023 has officially arrived! Romans celebrated the conclusion of 2022 and the arrival of this New Year on Saturday night by enjoying the New Year’s Eve Fireworks Extravaganza presented by Atrium Health Floyd as part of a partnership with Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation. The local slate of activities for New Year’s Day included First Day Hikes hosted by parks and rec and TRED of Rome/Floyd County. The 2023 edition of the Cave Spring Polar Plunge took place on Sunday afternoon as a fund raiser for the Cave Spring Historical Society.
