The Atlanta Hawks opened up a four-game road trip out west with a loss in double overtime to the Golden State Warriors by 143-141 on Monday night at the Chase Center in San Francisco, CA.
Klay Thompson had a game-high 54 points for the Warriors, who have won their last five consecutive games. Kevon Looney delivered the game-winning basket.
Trae Young scored a team-high 30 points and 14 assists for the Hawks, who have lost four straight.
The Hawks are 17-20 on the 2022-2023 regular season. They will continue their road trip with an outing in Sacramento, California against the Kings on Wednesday night; tip off is scheduled for 10 pm.
