Now is a time when individuals and organizations reflect on the year that just ended and make plans for the new year that has arrived.
Floyd County Sheriff Dave Roberson says that he is thankful that the county’s law enforcement officers received a pay raise in 2022.
Sheriff Roberson indicates that his plans for 2023 include building upon the successes of the F.R.E.E.D. (or Floyd Re-Entry Education and Discharge) program at the Floyd County Jail, which is aimed at increasing public safety, helping offenders transition from the jail into the community, and reducing the rate of recidivism.
Those in search of a new job in this new year are encouraged by Roberson to consider a career in law enforcement. For information about job opportunities with the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, visit www.floydsheriff.com.
