The Rome City Commission will meet in regular session tonight at 6:30 pm at City Hall (City Auditorium) on Broad Street. Their caucus will begin early with Commissioners leaving City Hall at 4:30 pm for Rome Middle School. Rome’s Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem will be chosen at this first meeting of ’23.
The Floyd County Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday at the county’s Administration Building on East 4th Avenue in downtown Rome. Caucus will be held at 4 pm in the Caucus Room (Suite 204); that will be followed by the meeting at 6 pm in the Community Room (Suite 206).
