ROME-FLOYD COUNTY COMMISSION ON CHILDREN AND YOUTH TO INTRODUCE ‘ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A THIRD GRADER?’ FUNDRAISING EVENT THIS APRIL

The Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth will introduce a new fundraiser called “Are You Smarter Than A Third Grader?” in April.

The event will be similar to the television game show “Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?”, asserts LaDonna Collins, RFCCCY Executive Director. In this competition, slated for April 13th at Georgia Highlands College’s Heritage Hall, local celebrities will test their knowledge versus local third graders.

Those interested in participating as a contestant should reach out to Collins at [email protected] or (706) 844-4592.

Collins is in search of light-hearted contestants, who will be asked to provide their third-grade picture.

Contestants will additionally be asked, of course, to raise funds for the Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth.

The competition may be tougher for the local celebrities than they think, says Collins. The more funds they raise, the more ‘cheats’ they get.

Collins encourages the public to visit the Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth’s Facebook page in the coming weeks for more details on the “Are You Smarter Than A Third Grader?” fundraiser.
