The Coosa River Basin Initiative, a local grassroots non-profit whose mission is to protect, preserve, and restore the biologically-diverse upper Coosa River basin, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2023.
Jesse Demonbreun-Chapman, the CRBI’s Executive Director, enthuses that the milestone will be celebrated with special events and new programs later on this year.
The organization started three decades ago with a group of people concerned about environmental issues. Demonbreun-Chapman says that the CRBI remains committed to the cause of cleaner water.
