The Junior Service League of Rome will present the 2023 Follies, themed “Come Sail Away”, this Friday and Saturday at the Rome City Auditorium. Showtime is 8 pm both nights.
This is one of the League’s major fundraising events. Proceeds will go back into the community, asserts Megan Otwell, Co-Chair, who says that the funds support initiatives like League4Learning, an effort to provide school supplies to Rome-Floyd County students in need, and community grants.
Tickets may be purchased in advance at a cost of $20 for adults and $10 for children at www.jslofrome.com. Admission at the door will be $25 and $15, respectively. A limited number of Patron Party tickets were available for the Saturday show as of press time.
Not only will attendees of Follies support good causes, they will be treated to an entertaining show. “Come Sail Away” tells the story of two very different cruise lines, says Otwell, who adds that the audience is sure to laugh.
JSL members and talented individuals will tell this story via singing, dancing, and acting.
