THE SALVATION ARMY OF ROME SEEKS COMMUNITY’S SUPPORT TO SUPPORT THOSE IN NEED

The Salvation Army of Rome, GA is grateful for the public’s support during the holiday season and still seeks support as the year 2023 continues.

Captain Paula Blevins asserts that her organization remains in need of some items for its food pantry to include dry goods like peanut butter.

Concerned citizens may reach The Salvation Army of Rome via telephone at (706) 291-4745.

Captain Tim Blevins states that he is excited that the organization will benefit from the Scouting for Food initiative of the Northwest Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America this Saturday.

And even though temperatures have been relatively mild over the past week, we are still in the midst of Winter. Captain Tim Blevins reminds the public that whenever the temperatures hit 32 degrees or below, a White Flag will be raised for anyone seeking a warm shelter from the cold.

Many people took heed of the White Flag when a deep freeze hit this area at Christmas, says Captain Paula Blevins.

Also during the holiday season, The Salvation Army of Rome, GA saw an uptick in fundraising through the annual Red Kettle campaign, states Captain Tim, who says that monetary donations are sought year-round.
