NORTHWEST GEORGIA CENTER FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING AIMS TO ENGAGE LOCALS IN CONVERSATION ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH IN VIRTUAL TOWN HALL SET FOR MARCH 30TH

The Northwest Georgia Center for Independent Living aims to engage locals in a conversation on mental health in a virtual Town Hall slated for Thursday, March 30th.

Quinn Durrant, Lead IL Services, says that the purpose of the Town Hall is to discover the greatest mental health needs of all community members – those who are disabled and those who are not. The center will use this feedback to advocate for better mental health services in its service area.

Interested individuals should contact the center for a Zoom link to the Town Hall, which is scheduled to get underway at 2 pm, says Durrant.

Mental health is important to one’s overall health, attests Durrant, who adds that the center wants to help alleviate stressors associated with mental health issues.

For additional information about the Town Hall and/or to obtain a Zoom link, reach out to Durrant via email at [email protected] or telephone at (706) 314-0008.

The Northwest Georgia Center for Independent Living is a non-profit which helps people with disabilities become more independent.
