ROME CITY SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS OF ROME AND FLOYD COUNTY TO HOST PARENTING ON PURPOSE EVENT THIS THURSDAY

The Rome City Schools and Communities in Schools of Rome/Floyd County will host a session on Parenting with Purpose this Thursday at 5:30 pm at the RCS College and Career Academy, 1000 Veterans Memorial Highway.

Karla Hernandez, RCS Parent Engagement Coordinator, says that the purpose of the event is to help parents navigate the highs and lows of parenting in this day and age. Jennifer Jolly, Trust Based Relational Interventionist, will serve as the facilitator. Refreshments and door prizes will be provided.

This event is intended to engage the entire family, not just parents, indicates Gregory Wooten, CIS Executive Director, who adds that often grandparents and other family members bear the responsibility of raising children.

To reserve a space for the Parenting with Purpose event, call the Rome City Schools’ Central Office at (706) 236-5050. An RSVP is requested, although walk-ups are welcome, says Hernandez.
