ROME DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY PARKING STUDY BEGINS MARCH 1ST

(Media release from the Rome Downtown Development Authority):

The Rome Downtown Development Authority will conduct a parking study in the downtown area from March 1 to April 30. During the months of March and April, the three-hour parking limit for on-street parking will not be enforced. The public parking decks and lots will continue to be monitored as usual and will require either a permit or vehicle registration upon arrival.
The goal of the study is to track consumer behavior and spending trends. Please note that to gather this data, the patrol car will still continue to run as normal. We encourage all downtown parking permit holders, residents, business and property owners, and employees to continue to utilize off-street parking.
There will be no immediate changes to the current parking regulations following this study; however, the results from this study will help us navigate the future of parking, specifically as redevelopment takes place in the River District.
