Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites have planned a host of events for the Spring of 2023.
Kim Hatcher, Public Affairs Coordinator, urges Northwest Georgia residents to mark their calendars for Saturday, April 1st. That will be Archaeology Day at Chief Vann House Historic Site in Chatsworth. New Echota Historic Site in Calhoun will host a Take Flight Hike on that same day.
This Tuesday, March 14th is National Butterfly Day; Etowah Indian Mounds Historic Site in Cartersville will celebrate with a Flutter by Etowah butterfly walk, says Hatcher. Etowah will host its 24th annual Tools and Weapons Day on Saturday, April 15th.
