Leanne Cook was recently tapped to serve as the new Executive Director of the Rome International Film Festival, and she has big plans for the festival’s 20th anniversary.
The dates for this year’s RIFF are November 2-5. Cook attests that the goal for 2023 is to make the annual event more diverse and inclusive.
Cook adds that RIFF also aims to offer more community events throughout the year, like the Encanto Singalong to be presented in partnership with the Historic DeSoto Theatre Foundation on Saturday, April 1st. The event will be held at 3 pm over at the DeSoto Theatre on Broad Street in downtown Rome. Tickets are $5 each and may be purchased online at www.riffga.com or at the door. Cook invites families to attend and sing with the Family Madrigal.
