The 2023 session of the Georgia General Assembly came to a conclusion one week ago with Sine Die (or the last day of the session) at the State Capitol in Atlanta.
The state’s budgets were among the most significant items tackled by state lawmakers during the session, says Katie Dempsey of Rome, who represents Georgia’s 13th District in the state House of Representatives.
Both property tax relief and another state income tax refund were included in the Amended Fiscal Year 2023 budget, asserts Dempsey.
Constituents with questions and/or concerns are encouraged by Dempsey to contact her. Contact information for all Georgia lawmakers may be obtained online at www.legis.ga.gov.
