ATLANTA BRAVES COMPLETE SWEEP OF CINCINNATI REDS

The Atlanta Braves defeated the Cincinnati Reds 5-4 on Wednesday night in the finale of a three-game set at Truist Park. The Braves swept that series and went 4-3 on their first homestand of the 2023 season.

Eddie Rosario clubbed a tie-breaking, lead-off home run in the bottom of the eighth inning. It was his first homer of the year.

Ronald Acuna Jr. contributed a total of three RBIs. Sean Murphy also drove in a run.

Kirby Yates was credited with the win in relief for Atlanta, while AJ Minter picked up the save. Starting pitcher Spencer Strider gave up three runs and four hits, walked two, and struck out nine over five innings.

The Braves currently lead the National League East with a 9-4 record. They are off today and will return to action on Friday evening with the first of three games in Kansas City, MO versus the Royals. The first pitch is scheduled for 8:10 pm.
