ATLANTA BRAVES IN KANSAS CITY, MO FOR INTERLEAGUE SET VERSUS ROYALS THIS WEEKEND; LISTEN ON WLAQ!

The Atlanta Braves had a scheduled off day on Thursday and will open up a six-game road trip tonight with the first of three interleague outings in Kansas City, MO versus the Royals. Charlie Morton will serve as the starting pitcher for Atlanta, while Brady Singer will head to the mound for Kansas City. The first pitch is slated for 8:10 pm Eastern. The Braves finished their first homestand of the year by completing a three-game sweep of the Cincinnati Reds with a 5-4 victory in the series finale at Truist Park on Wednesday night.

Eddie Rosario hit a tie-breaking, lead-off home run during the bottom of the eighth inning in that win. It was his first homer of the year.

The Braves currently lead the National League East with a 9-4 record, while the Royals are 4-9 and next-to-last in the American League Central.

Atlanta’s weekend series at Kansas City will be followed by three games out in San Diego, CA versus the Padres next Monday night through Wednesday.
