ATLANTA BRAVES OPEN SERIES IN SAN DIEGO, CA WITH SHUT OUT WIN OVER PADRES

The Atlanta Braves blanked the San Diego Padres 2-0 late on Monday night in the opener of a three-game series in San Diego, CA. That was the seventh straight win for the Braves.

Austin Riley led the charge offensively with a two-run homer during the top of the first.

Max Fried secured the win for Atlanta in his return from the injured list after giving up four hits, walking none, and striking out four through five scoreless innings. AJ Minter got the save.
