Are you adept at social media? Local non-profit Brighter Birthdays could use your help!
The organization seeks a tech- and social media-savvy volunteer to update supporters on efforts to brighten the birthdays of under-resourced children in Rome and Floyd County, says Amanda Hale, Executive Director.

Brighter Birthdays achieves its mission via the distribution of backpacks full of party supplies and living essentials. Volunteers are also sought to fill those backpacks, attests Hale, who adds that preparation will begin in late July for next school year.
Monetary donations are always welcomed and appreciated by the non-profit, which raised more than $25,000 in the 2nd annual Brighter Birthdays Dessert Challenge held in late March. Hale enthuses that these funds will go toward useful and fun items for the birthday backpacks.
