The Atlanta Braves beat the Miami Marlins 6-4 on Wednesday evening in the third outing of a four-game set at Truist Park, which allowed Atlanta to take a 3-0 lead in the series among rivals in the National League East.
The Braves scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning en route to the victory; that included a game-tying RBI triple by Eddie Rosario.
Vaughn Grissom contributed an RBI single – his second of the night – which put the Braves ahead in that inning.
Matt Olson homered to lead off the eighth. Ronald Acuna Jr. clubbed a solo shot that got the Braves on the board in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Jesus Sanchez, Jazz Chisholm Jr., and Avisail Garcia each hit solo home runs for the Marlins off Bryce Elder during the second, third, and fourth innings, respectively.
Michael Tonkin was credited with the win in relief, and AJ Minter picked up the save for Atlanta. Dylan Floro took the loss for Miami.
