ATLANTA BRAVES SPLIT DOUBLE HEADER IN NEW YORK VERSUS THE METS

The Atlanta Braves split a National League East double header with the New York Mets on Monday at Citi Field in New York. The Braves won the opener by 9-8, while the Mets took the nightcap by 5-3.

The Braves hit four home runs in the first game. Sean Murphy clubbed two three-run homers to notch a career-high six RBIs.

Spencer Strider was credited as the winning pitcher for Atlanta in game one to improve to 4-0 on the season. AJ Minter got the save.

Charlie Morton was charged with the loss in game two. Ronald Acuna Jr left that outing early with a bruised shoulder.
