The Northwest Georgia Health District of the Georgia Department of Public Health aims to help identify and rescue victims of sex trafficking through the Rescuing Hope initiative.
Dr. Gary Voccio, the District’s Health Director, encourages the public to visit www.nwgapublichealth.org and follow the Rescuing Hope link to learn more about the issue of sex trafficking, tips to protect yourself and your loved ones from sexual predators, and how to get help. He adds that child sex trafficking has been reported in all 50 states.
Rescuing Hope’s vision, according to their website, is to ultimately eradicate sex trafficking.
