The Atlanta Braves beat the Miami Marlins 14-6 on Wednesday night in the middle outing of a three-game National League East set in Miami, FL. That allowed Atlanta to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
The Braves clubbed six home runs en route to the victory. Marcell Ozuna got it all started with a grand slam during the top of the second inning.
Michael Harris II also had a two-run homer during that inning. Ozuna added a solo shot in the top of the third.
Ronald Acuna Jr had a three-run homer and Austin Riley hit a two-run shot in the fifth. Ozzie Albies added a solo home run in the eighth.
Collin McHugh picked up the win in relief for Atlanta. Braxton Garrett took the loss for Miami.
The NL East-leading Braves improved to 21-10 on the 2023 regular season. They’ll go for a sweep of the Marlins in the teams’ series finale this afternoon at LoanDepot Park in Miami.
