ATLANTA BRAVES WRAP UP ROAD TRIP WITH SWEEP IN MIAMI, BACK HOME THIS WEEKEND VS. BALTIMORE

The Atlanta Braves beat the Miami Marlins 6-3 on Thursday in the finale of a three-game National League East set in Miami, Florida. That allowed Atlanta to sweep the series.

Highlights included a solo home run by Marcell Ozuna during the top of the fourth inning, his third home run of the series. Matt Olson contributed a solo shot in the ninth.

Ronald Acuna Jr., Sean Murphy, Vaughn Grissom, and Kevin Pillar all drove in runs for the Braves.

Jorge Soler (a former Brave) had all three RBIs for the Marlins to include a two-run homer which gave that team a brief lead in the bottom of the first.

Dylan Dodd was the winning pitcher for Atlanta; he gave up those three runs and eight hits, walked three, and struck out one over six innings of work. AJ Minter got the save. Jesus Luzardo took the loss for Miami.

The NL East-leading Braves improved to 22-10 on the 2023 regular season.
