Event season is here! As you prepare to head out for outdoor events planned for this weekend and in the coming months, here are some words of caution from the Northwest Georgia Regional Cancer Coalition – don’t forget to wear sunscreen!
Erin Hernandez, President and CEO, states that sunscreen is the primary line of defense against skin cancer. May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month.
Hernandez also urges the public to check skin regularly for abnormalities. If any are detected, get screened by a dermatologist.
