ATLANTA BRAVES WELCOME BOSTON RED SOX TO TOWN FOR TWO-GAME SET, SEAN MURPHY NAMED NL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

The Atlanta Braves had a scheduled off day on Monday and will be back in action tonight as hosts to the Boston Red Sox in game one of a two-game set at Truist Park. Charlie Morton will be Atlanta’s starting pitcher. Nick Pivetta will head to the mound for Boston. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:20 pm. The National League East-leading Braves hold a 24-11 record for the 2023 regular season. They are in the midst of a five-game homestand that has so far netted two wins and one loss versus the Baltimore Orioles. The Red Sox are 21-15 and in fourth place of the American League East.
