STATE PARKS READY TO WELCOME SUMMER VACATIONERS

Planning a summer vacation? Georgia’s state parks have much to offer those in search of adventures in the great outdoors. Their accommodations include campsites, cabins, and yurts, attests Kim Hatcher, Public Affairs Coordinator for Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites, who also indicates that some parks feature great places to cool off during the summer months.

Reservations may be made for summer vacations on the Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites website at www.gastateparks.org. That site also features a complete list of parks statewide and an events calendar.

According to a recent travel study by AAA, visits to national and state parks were listed among the most popular vacations being planned for the summer of 2023.
