FLOYD COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVITES GOLFERS TO PLAY IN JUNE 16TH TOURNAMENT TO BENEFIT SHERIFF SANTA, URGES LOCALS TO BE CAUTIOUS OVER MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

It may almost be Summer, but the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office is already thinking about Christmas time. A Golf Tournament has been scheduled for Friday, June 16th to benefit the Sheriff Santa program which provides warm coats and toys to local youth during the holiday season.

Sheriff Dave Roberson attests that although Christmas is months away, now is a prime time to raise funds for Sheriff Santa.

The tourney will begin with a shotgun start at 9 am at the Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome. The cost to participate is $125 per person or $500 per team. Hole sponsors are also needed. For additional information, contact Michelle Cliatt at (706) 291-4111, Extension 8812.

Sheriff Roberson invites local golfers to have a good time and support a good cause.

And as we head into Memorial Day weekend, widely acknowledged as the ‘unofficial start of Summer’, Sheriff Roberson urges Floyd County residents to drive safely.

Sheriff Roberson also encourages the public to put kids’ safety first as they get out of school for the Summer.
