School is out, the weather is getting hotter and thoughts of the fall are probably far from everyone’s mind. Everyone that is except Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation, because early registrations deadlines for all fall sports are approaching and will be here by mid July.
Every fall sport we offer is currently registering with most offering discounts if kids are registered by early July. Registration for baseball, softball, t-ball, football and cheerleading ends in early August, so now is a great time to get your kids signed up and receive a discount off the registration price. Volleyball is also registering, but since its season begins after the other fall sports, the early registration deadline is in early August.
“One of the things we do every year is open up registration for all of our sports the first week of January, so parents have plenty of time to register their kids and take advantage of our registration discounts,” Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Director Todd Wofford says. “We also don’t want families to not register their kids because of financial reasons. We have assistance available to families, so that all kids have a chance to play sports.”
Be sure to visit our web site rfpra.com for more information on the sports and exact dates for registration deadlines.
Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation also offers need-based financial assistance for registration fees for those families that qualify. For more information on the program, please come by our offices at 1 Shorter Avenue or call us at 706.291.0766.
