The Rome-Floyd Recycling Center will host an Electronics Collection Event on Saturday, July 15th from 9 am to 1 pm at 412 Lavender Drive.
Appointments are required and may be scheduled via the SignUpGenius link at www.floydcountyga.gov. The center will start scheduling appointments by phone at (706) 291-5266 on July 3rd, says Emma Wells, the Director of Solid Waste for Floyd County.
Wells encourages the public to schedule those appointments and tell friends about the event.
The electronic items typically collected at these events include computers, televisions, recorders, and most any peripheral type equipment like printers and keyboards.
The July 15th recycling event is open to residents of Rome and Floyd County only. Be sure to have proof of Floyd County residency (such as a vehicle tag, license, utility bill, etc.).
Household hazardous waste and electronics will be gathered at the following recycling event slated for September 9th. Only electronics will be collected at the final event of the year on November 18th.
