Floyd County celebrated Independence Day all through the holiday weekend with fireworks, parades, barbecues, and other festivities.
Folks from Floyd and surrounding counties were on hand for the 39th annual Cave Spring 4th of July Parade on Tuesday morning. Christa Jackson, parade organizer, was grateful to see the community come together to celebrate our country, our families, and our freedom.
Tracy Mobley, local businessman, says that the parade is an annual tradition for many families in the area.
Missey Gomez, resident, enthuses that the 4th of July is an exciting day to be in Cave Spring.
Inclement weather led to a change of plans for this past Saturday’s Liberty Day events in Cave Spring. Fireworks and live music went on as planned; however, the Miss Liberty Day pageants were rescheduled to Saturday, July 8th.
