GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY: 18 LIVES LOST ON THE STATE’S ROADS OVER JULY 4TH HOLIDAY TRAVEL PERIOD

The Georgia Department of Public Safety reported that 18 people lost their lives in traffic accidents across the state upon the conclusion of the 4th of July holiday travel period at midnight on Tuesday. The 102-hour period began on Friday evening at 6 pm.

State troopers recognize this month as the fifth anniversary of the Georgia Hands-Free Law, which became effective July 1, 2018.
