An arrest warrant for Felony Murder has been issued for Floydell Quinchard Smith, DOB 1990. Black male.
Smith is accused in the death of Te’Vian Markez Williams on June 27, 2023 at a Dodd Blvd address.
Anyone with any information or knowledge of his location should contact Rome/Floyd County 911 or the Rome Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at 706-238-5111.

According to a previous RPD report –
On June 27, 2023 at about 1:40 am, Rome Police Officers responded to 131 Dodd Blvd, Callier Springs Apartment Complex, to a report of a male subject who had been shot. Officers arrived and found a black male had been shot in the upper leg/groin area and was bleeding heavily. Officers rendered aid to the male until Emergency Medical Services arrived and took over care. The male was transported to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. The victim was identified as Williams, age 30, of a Rome address.
This appears to be an isolated incident with the victim and person of interest knowing each other.
