(Media release from Primary Healthcare Center Rome):
Primary Healthcare Center Rome, in collaboration with Rome Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth, Goodwill of North Georgia, Northwest Georgia Hunger Ministries, and Restoration Rome, is thrilled to announce its upcoming back-to-school bash. The event will be held at 1400 Crane Street Suite 2 Rome, GA 30161 on July 20, 2023, starting at 3pm with free health screenings, immunizations for those who qualify and following at 4pm games, activities, school supplies, backpacks, and community health information.
The back-to-school bash is an opportunity for parents and children to come together, have fun, and prepare for the upcoming school year. Attendees will have access to free health screenings and immunizations provided by qualified professionals, ensuring that children start the school year with their health in check. Additionally, there will be various booths offering exciting games, engaging activities, and opportunities to get school supplies and backpacks. Community health information will also be available to educate families on important health topics.
“The Rome Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth knows how hard it is for so many parents and guardians to supply schools’ supplies. This is something that many in our community acknowledge and not ignore. Working alongside our local Primary Health Center to provide school supplies and resources will help set the stage for a better school year. Students that show up to school on the first day with the supplies that they need can count that experience as a Positive Childhood Experience and not an Adverse Childhood Experience. We are so grateful to collaborate on this effort,” said LaDonna Collins, Executive Director of The Rome Floyd County Commission on Children.
The event is made possible through the collaboration and support of the Rome Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth, Goodwill of North Georgia, Northwest Georgia Huger Ministries, Restoration Rome, and our dedicated vendors. Their contributions are instrumental in creating a meaningful and impactful experience for the community.
“We are excited to host this back-to-school bash in collaboration with our esteemed partners,” said Claudia Navichoque, Outreach Coordinator at Primary Healthcare Center Rome. “Our goal is to create an enjoyable event that not only brings families together but also promotes health awareness and provides necessary resources for the upcoming school year. We encourage everyone to join us for a memorable day.”
