ATLANTA BRAVES WRAP UP SERIES IN MILWAUKEE WITH WIN OVER BREWERS

The Atlanta Braves beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4-2 on Sunday afternoon in the finale of a three-game set in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It allowed Atlanta to take the series by 2-1.

Travis d’Arnaud got the Braves on the board with a solo home run in the top of the second inning.

Brice Turang led off the bottom of the third with a home run for Milwaukee to tie the game at 1-1. The Brewers took a 2-1 lead on a sac fly from Owen Miller in the fourth. Ozzie Albies clubbed a three-run homer in the eighth to put the Braves ahead by 4-2.

Daysbel Hernandez was credited with the win for Atlanta in his major league debut. Raisel Iglesias got the save. Elvis Perguero was charged with the loss for Milwaukee.

The National League East-leading Braves improved their MLB-best record to 64-34 on the ’23 regular season. They are off today and will be back in action on Tuesday night with the first of two games in Boston, Massachusetts versus the Red Sox. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 pm at Fenway Park. Up in Cooperstown, NY on Sunday, Fred McGriff, former Atlanta Brave, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
