The Rome Police Department was recognized by the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police for maintaining 20-years of continuous state accreditation with non-interrupted compliance. The department is one of only 44 agencies that received this award. Chief Denise Downer-McKinney and Major Chris Dehart accepted the award on behalf of the department.
